Required Documents for Verification Levels
LondonLink requires users who wish to increase their verification level and trading limits to provide evidence of the funds being used for trading.
Here are the documents we usually accept in each case:
Employment or salary - weekly or monthly income from your employer
- Payslips for the last three months
- Bank statements for the last three months
- P60 for the last financial year
- A recently signed letter on headed paper from the employer, confirming your salary
Trading income
- Bank statements for the last three months, showing trading income
- Invoices showing income spanning months
Savings or fixed deposits
- Bank or similar institution statements for the last three months, showing the savings
Property sale
- Bank statement, showing funds incoming from sale
- Signed contract of sale
- A signed letter on headed paper from a regulated lawyer or accountant, stating the property address, date of sale, parties, and sale figures
Rental income
- Bank statements for the last three months, showing the rental income coming in
- Signed Tenancy Agreement(s)
Sale of investment
- Recent bank statement, showing receipt of funds
- A signed letter on headed paper from a regulated accountant with details of the investment, its sale/liquidation and value
- Investment/Savings certificate, contract notes or surrender statement
- Receipt from investment sale
Dividend payments
- Bank statements showing receipt of the funds
- Dividend vouchers evidencing the customer's dividends
- Company accounts detailing dividend values
- A signed letter on headed paper from a regulated accountant, providing details about the dividends
Company sale
- Bank statement, showing receipt of funds
- Signed contract of sale of the company
- A signed letter on headed paper from a regulated lawyer or accountant with details of the company sale
Inheritance
- Bank statement, showing receipt of inheritance funds
- A signed letter on headed paper from a professional (e.g. lawyer or accountant) confirming the value of the customer's inheritance
Credit or loan
- Bank statement, showing loan arriving in account from a credit institution
- Signed loan agreement
- Loan statement from a credit institution
Gift
- Bank statement, showing gifted funds into the customer's account (if coming from a family member with the same surname)
- A signed letter on headed paper from a regulated lawyer confirming the parties, the date, the value of the gift and any terms and conditions applicable to the gift
- Donor's proof of ID (e.g. passport or ID card) and a signed letter from the donor of the gift, confirming the parties, the date, the value of the gift and any terms and conditions applicable to the gift
Retirement income or pension
- Bank statements for the last three months, showing receipt of retirement income or pension income
- Pension statement
- A signed letter on headed paper from a regulated accountant, providing details of the retirement income/pension
Gambling or lottery winnings
- Bank statement, showing receipt of lottery/gambling win(s)
- Winnings receipt
- Signed letter on headed paper from the lottery operator, confirming the winner's details and the value of the win
Court order/ Legal judgment (e.g. divorce settlement or award of compensation)
- Bank statement, showing receipt of the Court award
- Court order or judgment, specifying the value of the award
- A signed letter on headed paper from a regulated lawyer, confirming the value of the award and its recipient
Dispute settlement
- Bank statement showing receipt of funds and a signed settlement agreement between the parties, confirming the settlement amount and any terms and conditions applicable
- Signed letter on headed paper from a regulated lawyer confirming the settlement amount and the parties
Life insurance/ General insurance payout
- Bank statement showing receipt of payout
- Pay-out statement
- A signed letter on headed paper from the insurance provider confirming the payout and its recipient
